Quality you can trust.
Maudsley horseboxes was set up as a sideline to the Show jumping yard run by Graham and Diane Maudsley alongside Graham's father Brian. The little profit made in those days went to subsidise the horses. When it became apparent in 1985 that Graham was a better coachbuilder than show jumper the horsebox building was turned into a full time business. Brian did all the buying and selling with Graham running the workshop from their farm and then acquired larger premises in town due to the expansion of the business. In 2001 due to the untimely illness of Brian, Graham and Diane then took over the business.
Since the start of the business in 1985 the turnover of Maudsley Horseboxes has risen steadily every year and so have the boxes produced improved with the times each year. With 8 well trained and dedicated staff members we strive to build the box to suit you, the very important part of the building process. Most of our boxes are built to order on new or carefully selected low mileage chassis. We take pride in every box we build and use only top quality materials. We DO NOT convert or refurbish second hand parcel carriers etc. We only make NEW boxes so we know that they are built correctly and to a high standard. In the last year we have become a member of VBRA (Vehicle Body Repairs Association) which is acting as a governing body to horsebox manufacturers amongst others. This means we are inspected at regular intervals to make sure we are up to date on all new materials, legislation and products. Giving you our customers piece of mind.
When ordering your New Maudsley box you can talk to Graham and he will discuss everything from layout, specification, electrical system, all down to where you want the tie rings placing etc. We are easy to deal with and treat our clients as friends, in fact we still receive Christmas cards from clients we dealt with 20 years ago! We would therefore like to point out that we are the Maudsley Horseboxes who have built a outstanding reputation over the last 23 years.
